Snowshoe Siamese Cats

Shadow

Shadow showed up on our porch as a stray, about 5 years ago.  We had just lost our prior cat "rain" and we were grieving and considering getting another cat.  he literally showed up as a halfway feral cat, stealing a cat food bag off of our porch.  We would only see him around at night, thus the name "shadow".  when we finally saw him in the light, we were amazed at his deep blue eyes.  we later found out he was a rare breed - snowshoe siamese!  he has since become way chill, and now resides here as a lazy, porch cat.  he loves following us around for chores, so we call him "chores chadow".  oh, and he's a vegetarian.  but that's ok with us.

shadow - aka the infamous porch cat.  The older he gets, the less he travels.  He mainly spends his days either on the porch or in the house.

Anytime we are in the orchard or garden, he's right there behind us.  We couldn't have picked a better name!

Shalom

two are better than one!  and who would have thought, after one stray showing up, that we would find another - miles away!  this sweet beauty was a stray walking around town, being fed at local restaurants.  we happened to drive by and see her, and when we asked if she had a home, a couple responded "no, she's a stray, do you want her?" our answer: "of course we do!"  such a shock that nobody claimed her - it was meant to be!  shalom is much more of a hunter than shadow.  she loves to show up on the porch with her catch of the day, yet she's very gentle and a blessing to have here on the farm!

Shalom tends to be the extreme opposite of Shadow - to catch her on the porch is more rare.  But when she does decide to take a cat nap, you can find her on a pillow, all comfy and cozy.
